Tell us what you do for a living?

i am a singer /songwriter

Can you describe what that involves?

i write music for myself and then promote it!

What do you enjoy about your job?

i love absolutely everything about my job. i get to meet loads of really nice people and travel around the world. every day is different.

Is there anything you do not enjoy?

just being away from my family

Can you describe what a day in your job might be?

it’s impossible. every day is so different, that’s why i love it so much

What hours do you work?

again it’s impossible to say. all i know is this year i’ve only had 1 week off!

How long have you been working in this area?

i got signed to emi records when i was 15 – so 8 years!

Can you tell us how you got to where you are?

in brief… i got signed on a development deal which meant emi gave me time to grow as an artist and understand what being in the industry is like. when i was 18 i released my first single ‘money’. i then released my first album ‘drama’. i took a couple of years out to have my daughter and then began on the 2nd album. with a lot of hard work we finally achieved thank you and i’m delighted to say how well it’s done!

Looking back, would you choose the same job again? If no, what would you choose if you could start again?

absoultely – couldn’t think of anything else i’d rather be doing.

Thinking about your personal experience, what advice would you give to someone hoping to follow a similar career path?

i believe you have to believe in yourself… and if you do anything is possible.

Do you have an aspiration/goal for your future career?

just to carry on being happy and successful.
